Musings, Mirrors, and New Makes

Hi all,
How have the last couple of weeks been for you? I hope they've brought a little sparkle your way. Mine have been pretty good — full of celebration, creativity, and a few crafty experiments!

I had the joy of attending a beautiful wedding at Woodham Walter Golf Club recently. The bride looked absolutely stunning, and the venue was just perfect. One of my favourite moments? Seeing the mirror I decorated proudly displayed in situ — it felt so special to have a little piece of my work woven into their day. And yes, I partied the night away with the happy couple!

Last week saw the arrival of two new pieces to my website. You may have spotted one in last weekend’s post, and I’m excited to share the second today. There was a third in the works, but it didn’t quite come out how I envisioned — so that one’s going back to the drawing board. Sometimes the creative process has its own rhythm!

A friend asked me to create a birthday card for a 17-year-old girl named Emily, who adores sloths. I’ve met Emily before and had a sense of her style — understated, cute, and wonderfully individual. Using a design from Cricut Design Space, I adapted it with cardstock, pens, and vinyl to make something that felt just right for her. It was a joy to create!

Yesterday I treated myself to some wood burning gel — a little early prep for Christmas crafting. I’ve got ideas brewing for deep frame pictures that combine wood embellishments to create layers and depth. I’ll be playing around with those this weekend, and if they turn out well, I’ll be sure to share next week.

Thank you, truly, for reading my random musings and for helping me get this little dream off the ground. Your support means the world. If you happen to see this post out in the wild, I’d be so grateful for a like or a share — every little bit helps.

Chat soon,
Annette
