A busy start to the year

Hi everyone — it’s lovely to be back. The last few weeks have been a whirlwind in the world outside Life in Shadows, so the blog had to take a little nap while life did its thing. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year, and that your resolutions are still going strong (or at least gently wobbling in the right direction).

In my previous post, I mentioned I’d be having a stall at the local craft fayre. As it turned out, I couldn’t be there in person — a gig in Brighton whisked me away — but one of the lovely pub staff stepped in and held the fort for me. Thanks to them, a couple of pictures found new homes and I even received a commission, so I’m counting that as a definite success.

There’s also a very exciting new arrival at Life in Shadows: a tiny but mighty laser cutter that appeared under my Christmas tree. It’s now set up in the spare bedroom (the craft room is officially full to bursting), and I’ve been happily learning the ropes and experimenting with ideas. I can’t wait to share what comes out of this new adventure.

And if you fancy a little browse, there’s a brand‑new picture in the shop waiting to be discovered.

Thanks so much for reading — see you again soon.
